An interview with Andrew Tridgell on his latest Samba rewrite

IBM has an interview with Andrew Tridgell regarding updating the Samba core to qork better with newer filesystem capabilities. It involves moving it beyond the POSIX minimum to allow better integration of MS and non-MS systems in the same network. Great stuff. I for one want a better mapping of current filesystem capabilities to Samba.

Note: Samba 3.0-alpha is what ships with Debian testing/woody. Far more capabilities with it than the 2.x codebase. Especially when using it with 2000 and XP systems.
