This is not a definitive guide (read the specs for that), nontheless, this guide by Mocom Systems is quite helpful in explaining the different 802.11 wireless specifications.
After some friends told me they were going to implement a 108 Mbs wireless network I began searching for information on that spec. Turns out its 802.11a in turbo mode. I thought it was 802.11g in some kind of dual/turbo mode. What is apparent from the guide is the range may be lacking since my friends want to put it in place in an apartment complex.
