Site Update

Posted: May 7th, 2004 | Author: telcor | Filed under: SiteNews |

Finally I had some time to look into creating a new look for my blog. What I found was quite disappointing. A lot of the display (HTML) of WordPress is hard coded into the PHP functions. After a bit of study and work I changed the look to a nice red scheme, however there is some PHP hacking in my future. In particular, it is assumed your links will always be presented in lists. Thus a nifty function auto-creates the list, with the header of "Links" added, which I find quite revolting. When version 1.2 makes its entry I will delve into the code to remove the monstrosities I already see.

In the meantime, I\’m rather pleased with the appearance of the scheme. Now to check the rest of my site for overlooked elements.
