Well, I’ve done it again. I switched blogging software. This time around I’m using “bBlog”:bblog.com. How long will it last? I don’t know. However, there are a number of things that appela to me, compared to the previous “BLOG:CMS”:blogcms.org: * Smaller footprint – 300KiB download * Simpler Admin interface * Easier upgrading (“BLOG:CMS”:blogcms.org was essentially [...] I noticed that WordPress 1.5 is released. WordPress is a nice blog system, but version 1.2 was not ready for my needs, perhaps this one is? The previous version did not have support for multiple blogs, theming was strange (I think it was PHP driven, but I cannot recall now, a year or more has [...] If you enable this plugin, be certain to configure it. Otherwise don’t be surprised if, when visiting your site, you find your site a nice blank page. Process of upgrading a BLOG:CMS 3.4.x installation to the new BLOG:CMS 3.5.x. In these instructions we use the following meanings: new_blog = Your new BLOG:CMS installation old_blog = Your previous BLOG:CMS installation Follow the directions for a new installation, placing the 3.5.x version in a new folder, along with creating a new database. Rename old_blog/nucleus/libs/backup.php [...] It is now official, my home page tel-cor.com is being managed by Blog:CMS. While a few rough spots exist, it is functionally complete. The time and effort provided training with Blog:CMS. Like most Free software, Blog:CMS suffers from inconsistent documentation.
