Igudesman & Joo: classic comedy

I just learned about this duo, Igudesman & Joo, via The Old New Thing. Mixing Mozart with The Bond Theme is great, as well as their Rachmaninov Had Big Hands sketch. Tour dates only for Eurpoe at this time though.

Quite the little discussion on Morrissey Solo about Tatu doing a cover of the Smith’s song “How Soon Is Now?”. As the Moz would say, “How can you say I go about things the wrong way?”

Anyway, covers, or remakes, of songs always seem to stir some controversy among fans. Fans of the original often prefer that over the remake, and vice-versa. Sometimes the remake is better though. For example, I prefer the Dixie Chicks version of Landslide over the previous remake by the Smashing Pumkins and especially better than the original by Fleetwood Mac
